The story behind RL Perspective

Capturing moments, preserving stories

Robert Lozano

Photography began during a challenging period in my life when I was looking for something positive to focus on during the days I didn't have my sons with me. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a passion, a form of therapy, and eventually a way of seeing the world through a different perspective.

Over the years, photography has opened doors I never imagined possible. My work has been published in magazines both nationally and internationally, creating opportunities to travel, collaborate with brands, work with models, and photograph public figures and celebrities. While I'm grateful for those experiences, the real reward has always been creating images that tell stories, preserve memories, and connect people through a shared moment in time.

I don't limit myself to one style of photography. From portraits and events to everyday life and creative projects, I follow the story wherever it leads. I believe photography is less about taking pictures and more about capturing emotion, light, character, and the moments that often go unnoticed.

My philosophy has always been Quality Over Quantity. I'd rather create one meaningful image that leaves a lasting impression than hundreds that are quickly forgotten. The power of photography isn't found in the number of photos taken, but in the depth, authenticity, and emotion behind each frame.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been sharing it with my son, Rian. Watching him develop his own creative eye, grow as a photographer, and work alongside me at events has been something I take great pride in. What began as him joining me with a GoPro has evolved into a genuine passion and creative partnership.

"You can fake status online, but you can't fake creativity, perspective, or soul."

Rian Lozano

Rian's passion for photography began at a young age by accompanying me to events, photoshoots, and various projects. Before he ever picked up a camera, he spent years observing, learning, and developing an understanding of what goes into creating meaningful images. His first camera was a GoPro, and as his interest grew, he eventually inherited the camera that started my own photography journey.

Over the years, Rian has traveled to events, contributed to published work, and gained valuable experience working alongside me. He has assisted and served as a second shooter for a variety of occasions, helping capture important moments through both photography and video. His dedication, reliability, and willingness to learn have allowed him to develop his own creative perspective while continuing to grow as a photographer.

Today, Rian continues to build his experience behind the camera, bringing a fresh perspective, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for storytelling through imagery.
